Our Story: A Decade of Hands-On Experience

Before Prime One Technologies was founded, our principal engineer and founder spent over a decade on the front lines, leading complex, enterprise-scale Unified Communications projects inside some of the nation's most important federal agencies.

As a lead engineer for a major government contractor, he was directly responsible for the successful deployment and modernization of collaboration platforms serving tens of thousands of federal employees. This included leading the UC engineering team for an enterprise solution supporting 40,000+ users at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and spearheading the UC deployment for 20,000+ users across more than 200 sites for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

This experience—navigating the technical, security, and procedural complexities of the federal government from the inside—is the foundation upon which our company is built. Prime One Technologies was created to bring that same level of deep expertise and mission-focus to our clients, combined with the agility, responsiveness, and direct accountability of a dedicated small business.

With over a decade of experience as a lead Unified Communications engineer for major federal programs at HHS, FDA, NIH, and DOL, Terry Butler founded Prime One Technologies to deliver a higher standard of IT solutions. He combines enterprise-level technical expertise with a passion for client success, personally overseeing the strategy and quality of every project. His vision is to build Prime One into the government's most trusted and reliable small business partner for secure communications and IT compliance.
